Alexander Zonjic’s Father’s Day Concert Free to the Public

National jazz star, Alexander Zonjic and his award winning band along with powerhouse Chicago based vocalist Lisa McClowry and The Motor City Horns perform a free Father’s Day Concert and Celebration open to the public in the beautiful Ravitz Foundation Main Atrium of Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, 2 p.m. Sunday, June 17.
The concert is part of the Hospital’s Healing Arts Program.
Flutist Alexander Zonjic is a jazz favorite across the country for his cool jazz grooves and exciting shows. He has shared the stage with such greats as Earl Klugh, Kirk Whalum and Angela Bofill. He currently hosts a syndicated radio show called Alexander Zonjic from A to Z that airs on Canadian radio and WVMV’s HD2 Channel. He won the 2010 Album of the Year and Broadcaster of the Year at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. In addition to performing in one hundred concerts a year, he is the artistic director for numerous music festival.
Lisa McClowry’s four octave range and stylistic excursions into jazz, R&B, pop, blues and even country have endeared her to thousands of fans from her hometown of Chicago to clubs and festivals across North America. She was nominated for International Vocalist of the Year from the WAVE Awards, formerly known as the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards,
The exciting brass quartet, The Motor City Horns, is comprised of some of the most talented and sought after brass musicians in Michigan. The stellar trumpet, trombone and saxophone artists play an exciting repertoire of jazz, blues, funk and soul, getting the audience up and dancing .
