BCTV producer Cindy Kainz wins Pulse Award
Long-time Bloomfield Community Television producer Cindy Kainz recently won the American Heart Association and Beaumont Health System Pulse Award in the Public Affairs Coverage category. She was recognized for producing and hosting three 30-minute Bottom Line programs about the importance of heart disease prevention and health screenings. The awards presentation took place on November 30 at Beaumont Hospital and recognized outstanding contributions in the fields of print, radio, television and social media in educating the public about heart disease and prevention.
Kainz is one of BCTV’s longest-running producers. She has been producing Bottom Line for almost twenty years, with over 300 shows to her credit. Topics have ranged from tips for success, to animal adoption, to Habitat for Humanity and beyond, with a heavy emphasis on health-related issues such as the programs on heart disease that led to her Pulse Award.
