The St. Dunstan's Theatre Playreading & Casting Committee recently announced the cast for "It Came From Mars," according to its Facebook page. Those selected after auditions on Aug. 13-14 are:

Quentin Farlowe: Alan Canning

Maude Myrtles: Janie Minchella

Werner Kreilig: Paul Dorset

George Loomis: Gannon Styles

Dolores Breckinridge: Molly Dorset

Julia Crane: Deb Dworkin

Rita Montpetit Liegl will direct; Anthony Marsalese is the assistant director, and Sandy Prokopp is the producer.

The show is the Metro Detroit premiere of the play, which won the 2009 Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award. Performances are scheduled for 12-13, 19-21 and 26-28.
