Today's Pick: 200-cat adoption event

• Cost: $59 adoption fee
  
• Why Go: Take a break from the Dream Cruise and find a forever friend this weekend at Bloomfield Hills' Pet Supplies Plus's cat adoption event. At least 200 cats of various breeds, colors and personalities from the Oakland Pet Adoption Center in Auburn Hills and the Roscommon Animal Shelter in Roscommon will be available for adoptions. In addition, area veterinarian Jonathan Ross of the Ross Hospital for Animals will provide free pet fitness evaluations all day Saturday for adopted cats and kittens. The 100th cat-adopter will receive a $100 Pet Supplies Plus shopping spree, while the 200th adopter gets a $500 shopping spree.
