Brother Rice, Seaholm, Andover Wrestlers Compete Today in State Finals

Brother Rice wrestler Andrew Napieraj, a February Patch Athlete of the Week, is among several Birmingham and Bloomfield area athletes who are competing today in the MHSAA individual wrestling finals.
The junior won the 135-pound regional title at the Davison regional Feb. 18. He pinned Seaholm’s Tim List in the finals bout.
Also from Brother Rice are Thomas Giradot, a senior competing at 145, and Shon Powell, a sophomore competing at the 160-pound weight class. Giradot competes first against Andrew Price of Stoney Creek; Powell goes up against Chad Czerneski of Howell.
From Bloomfield Hills Andover, Brody Wagerson, a senior competing in the 215-pound class, goes up against Patrick Eldred of Charlotte.
From Birmingham Seaholm, Tim List (135) takes on Quentin Santiag of Wyandotte Roosevelt and Ryan Law (140) competes against Trent Samuels of Jenison.
