Burglary at Lowe's, Multiple Home Invasions Reported

Mower missing from Lowe's
Employees discovered the riding mower missing and a hole cut through the security fence when they arrived for work on Aug. 31, reports said. Officers determined the perpetrators just pushed the mower through the hole in the fence while the business was closed overnight. Investigators are reviewing surveillance cameras for possible suspect descriptions.
- A resident in the process of moving reported that someone stole his laptop from the near-empty home in the 5100 block of Provincial Drive on Sept. 8, police reports said. The resident said the home is unoccupied but still contained belongings they intended to pack this week. When he returned to the property to pack, he noticed the computer missing. Entry appears to have been through an unlocked kitchen window. No suspect information was available.
- A resident in the 4000 block of Hidden Woods Drive told police the front door to the attached condominium unit was pried open sometime overnight between Sept. 8 and Sept. 9, reports said. No one was home as the unit is unoccupied and in the midst of an estate sale. A single watch was taken, report said. No suspect information was available.
- Multiple residents in the 800 blocks of Highwood Drive and Shady Hollow Circle reported their vehicles were burglarized on Sept. 8, reports said. Items such as compact discs and loose change were taken from vehicles that were unlocked and parked outdoors. No damage to the vehicles were reported. Police encourage residents to lock their doors to prevent becoming an easy target. Several locked vehicles also parked outdoors overnight were left alone, reports noted. The incidents reported occurred after 10 p.m. No suspect information was available.
- More than 70 landscape rocks and a 25-foot-tall aluminum flag pole were taken from the front yard of a home in the 3600 block of Shallow Brook Drive sometime overnight between Sept. 6 and Sept. 10, police reports said. Further details were immediately unavailable and there are no suspects.
