Tim Horton's Open

The refurbished Mobil gas station just beyond the Bloomfield Township border with Birmingham is now serving customers. And with much more than just fuel. The full-service Tim Horton's with an enclosed drive thru, and the convenience market next door at 36101 Woodward Ave. both opened earlier this month after more than eight months of construction.

The construction project at the Woodward and North Old Woodward intersection also includes pedestrian crosswalks at Old Woodward and Oak Street, as well as at Woodward and Oak, 50 percent of which was paid by the gas station owners.

Equilibrium Pilates Studio opens Franklin location

The Bloomfield Hills-based Equilibrium Pilates Studio opened a second location in the Franklin Athletic Club this month and to celebrate, they're looking to give back to Shades of Pink.

Shades of Pink, organized by area residents Pamela Benitez and Suzanne Krueger, provides financial support to women undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

While Equilibrium Pilates Studio has been a longtime support of Susan Komen and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the studio will now be solely supporting Shades of Pink through their various fundraising activities.
