Commissioners Gershenson, Goodman-Taub Will be Sworn In Wednesday Night
The incumbents are part of Oakland County's new 21-member board.
The Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Auditorium in Pontiac.
The Bloomfield-area representatives who will begin serving two-year terms of office are:
Marcia Gershenson, D-District 13, which includes Bloomfield Township, West Bloomfield Township and Farmington Hills.
Shelley Goodman Taub, R-District 12, which includes Bloomfield Township, Bloomfield Hills, and Birmingham.
Bill Dwyer, R-District 14, which includes Franklin, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Farmington Hills.
Also participating in the ceremony will be Oakland County Chief Circuit Court Judge Nanci Grant, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, and new Oakland County Clerk Lisa Brown, according to a press release. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Color Guard will present flags, and Oakland County resident Jonathan Givens will sing the National Anthem. The Church Street Singers will also perform.
