Craving a night out that will add some culture to your social life? Bloomfield and Birmingham Patches have just what you need. Starting today, readers can enter a contest for tickets to the orchestra's opening night performance featuring Sharon Isbin Plays Rodrigo on Friday, Oct. 5 at the Seligman Performing Arts Center in Beverly Hills.
All you have to do to be eligible is tell us where and how you'd spend your ideal night out in Bloomfield and/or Birmingham in the Comments Section below by noon Wednesday, Oct. 3. Is it meal at Joe Vicari's Andiamo Italian Steakhouse and a quick drive to Maple Theater? Or do you prefer the dinner fare at Streetside Seafood and socializing at Tallulah Wine Bar and Bistro? Let us know.
The Michigan Philharmonic has provided each Patch with 10 sets of tickets individually valued at $20. Winners will be selected at random and announced on each site next week. The tickets will be issued by philharmonic staff at the venue before the 7:30 p.m. performance.
Sharon Isbin has won multiple Grammy Awards and is arguably America's leading classical guitarist. She is also the winner of Guitar Player magazine’s “Best Classical Guitarist” award, the Madrid Queen Sofia and Toronto Competitions, and was the first guitarist ever to win the Munich Competition. Her sold-out performances include some of the world's most famous concert halls, including New York’s Carnegie and Avery Fisher Halls, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center. She'll play Spanish composer Joaquίn Rodrigo’s most famous and recognizable work Concierto de Aranjuez, written in 1939.

Contest Rules
- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.

- All entries must be received by noon Eastern Time on Oct. 3.
- You may enter once.
- 20 winners will be selected in a random drawing.
- Tickets for two for this single performance, each valued at $20.

My perfect evening in Birmingham would start with dinner at Salvatore Scallopini, a walk at Booth Park followed by a walk up Woodward to a movie at The Palladium and a nightcap coffee at Biggby!
