Cranbrook Hockey Highlighted on Comcast This Weekend
The Cranes will face Wyandotte Roosevelt in one of two games showcased on PlayOn! Sports, an MHSAA Network television partner.
The Cranbrook-Kingswood hockey team will be featured on television this weekend while competing in the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League (MIHL) Prep Hockey Showcase in Trenton.
The Wyandotte game with Cranbrook-Kingswood at the Kennedy Recreation Center will be shown on Saturday (Feb. 9) at 3 p.m.; Sunday (Feb. 10) at Noon; Tuesday (Feb. 12) at 7 p.m.; Feb. 13 at 8 a.m.; Feb. 16 at 3 p.m.; and Feb. 17 at 6 p.m.

The Cranes are the top-ranked team in Division 3 with a 10-0-1 record, and had a three-point lead in the league standings over Brother Rice High School and Detroit Catholic Central as of Wednesday. The team is 16-1-1 overall, and scored nearly three times as many goals as they've allowed this season, according to the MIHL website.
A Close Look
More than 80 scouts packed into the last year for the and showcase officials are expecting as many or more this year.
Dozens of top-ranked high school teams comprised of hockey players from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ontario, will play several games over the four-day event, according to an MIHL release.
"There's going to be a lot of great hockey and a lot of scouts come from all over the place," said Tim Beaker operations manager at Kennedy.
Showcase ticket prices are $6 per day or $10 for a weekend pass for adults and $4 per day or $6 for a weekend pass for seniors and students.
There will be a $3 charge to park in the Kennedy Recreation Center parking lot.
