Police Blotter: Locker Larcenies Persist at Gym; Home Invasions Reported

- Bloomfield Township police officers were again called to investigate a locker larceny at the L.A. Fitness last week, reports said. Jewelry and clothing were taken from a locked locker sometime between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on De. 30. No suspect information was available. Police are now looking into three other locker larcenies at the fitness center as well as multiple thefts from vehicles. In each of the earlier incidents, police said stolen credit cards were used at area stores shortly after the thefts, including after a theft was reported at about 2:50 p.m. on Dec. 4. No suspect information was available in those thefts either.
- A motorist pumped $55 worth of gas into a red Dodge Charger and fled the Mobil Station at 43003 Woodward Ave. without paying on Dec. 29, police reports said. The incident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. and no suspect description was available.
- Officers responded to the 300 block of Eileen Drive from a reported home invasion early Wednesday morning, police reports said. The resident reported that an intruder or intruders entered the home through an unlocked door and stole several electronic devices. The thief or thieves also entered unlocked vehicles that were parked in the driveway overnight, reports said. There are no suspects.
- The sliding-glass door to a home in the 6000 block of Golfview Drive was pried open on Jan. 2, police reports said. Nothing was reported stolen. The incident occurred between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety reported no major police or fire-related incidents over the New Year's holiday and last week.
