Take on Arthritis in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Bloomfield Hills

Individuals and teams will participate in a holiday-themed run/walk to raise awareness and funds to fight arthritis.

 

Looking for weekend plans, or just something special to do to kick-start the holiday spirit, get fit and raise a little money for a good cause? Today's weekend spotlight entry may just do all of the above.

Today's Pick: Bloomfield Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis Foundation

  • When: Saturday, 9 a.m.
  • Where: Birmingham Covington School
  • Cost: Adults $30; Children 12 and under $12 
  • Why Go: Participants will dress in their favorite holiday costumes with jingle bells attached to their shoes to provide a festive chorus of jingle rings, and lots of fun, as they run. This family-friendly event includes a 5K run/walk with competitive timing, a kid’s quarter-mile “Snowman Shuffle,” and  post-race party The event provides funding for research, local programs and services and advocacy efforts that improve the lives of people with arthritis.
