Visions for Vacancies: Crust No More!

Bloomfield Township's famed pizza and wine bar is gone, but what should take its place?

A few weeks ago we reported on the site plan approval for the Bagger Dave's Burger Tavern coming to the Bloomfield Plaza. While that covers one of the vacancies at the shopping center located at Maple and Telegraph roads, just a few doors down looms another empty space.

The Crust Pizza and Wine Bar closed in the spring, leaving the spot on the other side of Frames Unlimited open.

Bloomfield Patch wants to know: What's your vision for this property?

You don't need to be a commercial developer or city planner — or have money to invest in a business project — to have the next great idea. We just want to hear about it. Please leave your ideas in the comments section below.

This is part of an occasional series; we're excited to hear about your ideas for vacant spaces around town.

How about a great specialty spa offering Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy which the therapist uses her feet to deeply massage the client. This would be a great location for this work. I would love to open a place like this in that spot. Anyone care in invest? Lol

I am so excited that we are finally trying to fill up the vacancies. It looks terrible. My sugestions are- A good old fashion bakery shop like Julians in Clawson or a moderate priced clothing store. (there is a recession you know). Love it that my favorite store, Trader Joes is joining us.

I agree, we definitely could use a good bakery. Hopefully, Trader Joes will be joining us soon. Very excited to see this particular store open nearby.
