Weekend Weather: Sunny Skies on Deck

The high temps will be in the low-to mid-80's all weekend long, according to the National Weather Service.

The weekend looks to be a sunny one. According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will be most mostly sunny, with a high of 83 degrees.

That makes a perfect day for Birmingham's Day on the Town, a city-wide sidewalk sale in the heart of downtown. The sale officially opens at 9 a.m., with a Kids Bike Parade and decorating contest beginning at 8:30 at South Old Woodward and Merrill.

Or if dancing is more of your thing, visit the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Bloomfield Hills and help raise funds for Last Day Dog Rescue, a non-profit all volunteer dog rescue mission.

On Saturday night, the skies will be clear with a low of 62 degrees. Winds will blow between five and nine miles per hour, becoming calm after midnight.

On Sunday, it will be another mostly sunny day with a high of 84 degrees. Lows dip down to 68 degrees overnight.

Looking ahead to Monday, there's a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms all day. The high will be 82 degrees. For a look at gas prices or real-time traffic visit Bloomfield Patch's Commute Page.
