Lakers swimmer helps his team pick up big wins over Rochester and Royal Oak.
West Bloomfield High School’s John Yurich won the Patch Athlete of the Week title for Jan. 23-28 with 297 votes after a week of unscientific polling among Patch readers in Oakland County, or 55 percent of the votes cast last week.
Yurich was in top form on Jan. 26 in a meet against Rochester High School. He participated in four events and placed in all four.
