The crowd starts moving to the reggae beat provided by the Gratitude Steel Band last summer at the Bloomfield Township Public Library. Credit Art Aisner
Andover High School Musicians Adam Zureick (trumpet), Ashley Pikula (clarinet) and Max Jones (snare drum) were chosen to play with the University of Michigan Marching Band in its annual Crisler Concert last Sunday. They joined other select high school musicians from around the state and spent the weekend rehearsing and playing with this prestigious marching band. Selections included "Lose Yourself", "Great Gate of Kiev" and "The Victors." Several Andover graduates are current members of the Michigan Marching Band and joined in this photo.
