While browsing the PATCH website, I clicked on an advertisement for the Detroit Historical Museum. I'm glad I did. Just in case you didn't "click" , I copied the information below.

Doors open Friday, November 23 at 9:30 a.m. and don’t close until Sunday, November 25 at 5 p.m.
Come explore and experience the remarkable stories of the people, places and events that define who we are. Enjoy favorites like the Streets of Old Detroit and discover new favorites like the Allesee Gallery of Culture and the Kid Rock Music Lab.
Look for raffles, refreshments and giveaways throughout the weekend. Night owls can also take in a classic Detroit-themed flick Friday and Saturday nights in the Booth Auditorium:

- 2:30 a.m. 8 Mile
- 5:00 a.m. Out of Sight

Don’t forget our outdoor attraction as well, Detroit Legends Plaza, and meet local television luminary Bill Bonds, as he casts his hands and signature in cement Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and joins our roster of local legends!
It’s a weekend that will make history. Don’t miss it.

Thanks, Marcia! I attended the museum's "Friends and Family" celebration last week, and you'll be glad to know that the always-popular lower-level "streets of Detroit" are as charming as ever. Congratulations to the volunteers and staff of the Detroit Historical Museum, (including my brother!).
On-site parking is typically available. New exhibits are marvelous, and I think people of all ages will enjoy them. Thanks for sharing this announcement.
