There are TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS, one concerning a project at Long Lake and Telegraph with lot split and several variances needed; and the other a proposed restaurant at Maple and Lahser including a liquor license, longer hours and outdoor seasonal seating.  This is the final step for approval which will most likely occur at this meeting.  Last chance for your comments.

There are TWO REQUESTS FOR DONATIONS of public money. Two members of the township board are ALSO a member of that board ..in one case....asking for ??? previously $10,000 and $17,500  which was granted in the past.  The other is asking for a donation of $2000.  Conflict of interest?  Should public tax money go to organizations?  If yes, who gets to decide which ones?

A new ASSISTANT fire chief to be added? or replacing an existing assistant fire chief???  No details given in the agenda or board packet. How many top management positions are needed at the fire department?  Also the 2011 Annual Report of the Fire Department is to be presented.
