ay night in the middle of winter\, all is not quite what it seems in the
remote\, mythical town of Almost\, Maine.&nbsp\; As the northern lights
hover in the star filled sky above\, residents of Almost find themselve
s falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways.Knee
 s are bruised\; hearts are broken.&nbsp\; Love is lost\, found\, and con
founded. But the bruises heal and the hearts mendn&ldquo\; almost. Over
view of Roles: This play is comprised of eight magical vignettes\, plus
a prologue and epilogue\, which explore love and loss in a fictional vi
llage in northern Maine.&nbsp\; This sweet\, poignant\, and witty play h
as been described as a &ldquo\;whimsical approach to the joys and perils
of romance.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; According to the author\, the action takes p
 lace at nine o&rsquo\;clock on a cold\, clear\, moonless\, slightly surr
eal Friday night in the middle of the deepest part of a northern Maine w
inter. Each scene represents a separate &ldquo\;story\,&rdquo\; each of
which is presented by two characters\, who suddenly find themselves &ld
quo\;knocked over&rdquo\; by love. There are 19 different characters in
the show.&nbsp\; However\, my aim is to cast 4 women and 4 men\, all of
whom will play multiple roles. You are therefore requested to prepare al
 l gender-appropriate parts. Ages are flexible--ranging from the mid-twe
nties to mid-fifties\, in order to allow us to cast appropriately-matche
d actors for the specific scenes.&nbsp\; We do not expect you to adopt a
&ldquo\;Maine accent\,&rdquo\; in that people in Northern Maine do not
have the &ldquo\;Down East&rdquo\; accent. The characters for each scen
