After a two year hiatus, The Bloomfield Hills Public Safety will resume its annual family- friendly open house from 12-3p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.
There will be plenty of hands on safety awareness activities for children and adults to participate. Attendees will learn how to properly operate a fire extinguisher and how to execute an escape plan in the event of a fire emergency. Attendees will also be able to meet their Public Safety officers in a casual setting. Several interactive demonstrations are planned. Tours of the Public Safety Department will also be offered.
Sponsors of this event include: The Northern Trust Company, Templeton Building Company, Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Secrest – Wardle, LSL Planning and McKenna Associates. The Baldwin Public Library will also have volunteers available to help Bloomfield Hills’ residents sign up for library cards.

More About City of Bloomfield Hills
The city of Bloomfield Hills is located in the southeast quadrant of Oakland County and is home to roughly 4,000 residents. The city government consists of seven departments that operate under direction of the city manager and a city commission. The city commission is comprised of five members who are elected to two-year terms. The commissioners select a mayor and mayor pro tem amongst themselves. Commission meetings are held at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
