Chamber Soloists of Detroit presents Timothy Braun, violin, Erik Ásgeirsson, cello, and Pauline Martin, piano, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Birmingham Unitarian Church, Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Detroit native cellist Erik Ásgeirsson returns from Berlin with Los Angeles-born Timothy Braun to perform a marvelous program featuring a delightful selection of duos by Kodaly, Hosokawa and Martinu and the ever-popular Trio in d minor by Felix Mendelssohn with CSD Artistic Director, pianist Pauline Martin.
Timothy Braun’s “explosive charisma” (Torrence, CA Times) brings audiences to their feet. Braun and Ásgeirsson (“impressive” – Rundschau, Bonn) are drawing kudos as soloists and chamber musicians at major U.S. and European venues, including Beethovenfest Bonn and West German Radio.
