  23 Metro Detroit Police  &amp\; Fire Pipes &amp\; Drums fundraiser. The
  event starts at 6 p.m.\nThe band\, which consists of retired and active
  public safety  officers\, plays for any law enforcement officer or fire
 fighter who&nbsp\;gives  his or her life in the line-of-luty&nbsp\;in th
 e state of Michigan. The band  does not charge a fee to the families of 
 these heros.\nThis fundraiser is the  only way the non-profit band&nbsp\
 ;is able  to&nbsp\;provide the necessary uniforms&nbsp\; to  the band me
