Start your New Year's resolutions off on the right foot by enjoying a January 1st snowshoe or hike at your local state park.  Get wellness and exercise tips, enjoy healthy refreshments, and make your official pledge to get "Fresh Air Fit" this year.  Snowshoes will be available for rent at a reduced rate first-come, first-served.  For more information go to www.michigan.gov/dnrcalendar.

A second hike is also taking place at the Brighton State Recreation Area beginning at noon.  No snowshoes available at Brighton.

Event is free, however a Recreation Passport is required for park entrance.  The $11 Recreation Passport can be purchased at any Secretary of State when renewing your license tabs, or at any state park office.
