Class Sizes in the Bloomfield Hills Schools

Enrollment is down, but less than expected this year, officials said.

The numbers won't be official until after student-count day next month, but administrators in the Bloomfield Hills Schools said districtwide enrollment is down in 2013.

Initial tallies show the district has 32 less students than last year, which was expected given long-term projected enrollment decreases. Yet it's not the high number of 59 the district anticipated before classes resumed.

Assistant Superintendent Laurie McCarty told members of the Bloomfield Hills Board of Education last week that the number is fluid but reinforces the downward trend.
