Black Hawks Soccer Ends Season With Victory Over West Bloomfield

At Bloomfield, the Black Hawks closed out a very successful first season with a 2-0 victory over West Bloomfield.  After a scoreless first half, junior Alex Joneson scored to put the Black Hawks ahead.  Junior Kyle Petrovich added a security goal, on an assist by junior Colin Beresford.  Senior goalie Griffin Hamel, playing for the first time since breaking his nose weeks ago, tallied four saves.  Their record is 10-2-5, and 7-1-4 in the OAA White Division.  The Black Hawks begin post-season play next Tuesday, Oct. 15th at Berkley High School.  They will face Birmingham Groves at 5:00 pm.  This is the fourth time this season the two teams have met this season. Bloomfield leads the series 2-1.
