Best Family Friendly Eatery in Bloomfield? You Chose Leo's Coney Island

Local spot on Telegraph Road was a readers' favorite from the start, according to our poll.

All week we asked for your help in determining the , and added a poll for good measure.

It was pretty close, but , part of the larger Metro Detroit chain, garnered the most votes on the first day and the support never let up, earning 43 percent. Nearby garnered 32 percent for second, and was third with 8 percent.

"We've always been community oriented and a very family-friendly business," said Leo Stassinopoulos Jr., whose father started the chain in 1972. The family-owned business now boasts more than three dozen locations across Michigan.

"You can come in with your kids, come as you are, and not spend a whole lot for good food," he added.

No readers left reviews, but J Arch suggested Olga's, now located along Telegraph Road just north of Square Lake.

Others clearly prefer to go out of Bloomfield, too.

"There aren't many choices in Bloomfield Hills besides the coney island and fast-food chain restaurants :(," commented reader Kim C.
