Holy Cannoli's in Berkley: The sweets shop that opened recently at 2752 Coolidge Highway offers cakes, cookies and other Michigan-made treats, as well as – of course – cannoli. The family-run business relies on a fifth-generation recipe with roots that reach all the way back Sicily.

Rochester Mills Beer Company in Rochester: The brewery is set to unveil its new year-round selection, Lazy Daze Amber Lager, on taps and in cans distributed throughout Michigan later this spring. "It's a German-style amber lager beer," Rochester Mills spokesman Dave Youngman said. "It's a very clean, crisp and refreshing beer."
