Starbucks Closing Wednesday in Nearby Beverly Hills

People take their coffee and specialty drinks — and where they get them — personally. Just see the response to recent news about the Caribou Coffee closures planned for the Metro Detroit area.

Whether your commute takes you south of Bloomfield, or you just enjoy shopping in nearby Beverly Hills, there will be one less Starbucks to choose from beginning Thursday.

The national-chain's location at 31201 Southfield Rd., just north of 13 Mile Road, will no longer serve customers after Wednesday. A sign posted on the doorway last week reflected the news, and employees inside said they were unable to comment. Calls to the Starbucks headquarters were not immediately returned.

Still have to have your Starbucks fix? It appears you're still in luck, if you don't mind drive-thru. The drive-up-only location just about a half-mile up at 30160 Southfield Rd. will stay open. And Patch Facebook fans point out the Target just south of 13 Mile Road also has a Starbucks inside.
