HAVEN offers community members a variety of ways to help its cause. There are numerous volunteering opportunities with the non-profit, such as being a crisis line volunteer and working in HAVEN offices. Each volunteer job has different minimum requirements and duties; for a complete list of opportunities, visit the group's website at www.haven-oakland.org or call 248-334-1284, ext. 659.

Donations are always appreciated as well, both money and items for the shelter. HAVEN typically has 45 adults and children living in its shelter and provides living supplies and three meals a day. The shelter is in need of numerous items year-round, such as cereal, fruit, snacks, bottled water, gift cards, baby bottles, sheets, toilet paper, toiletry products and more.

Monetary donations are accepted online, via the mail or over the phone at 248-334-1284, ext. 344. Mail any donations to P.O. Box 431045, Pontiac MI 48343.
