Christmas is Over – Now What Do I Do With My Tree?

Find out how to recycle your Christmas tree.

Christmas is officially over, and if you had a real tree this year, you may be scratching your head wondering what to do with it now.

Oakland County will accept your Christmas trees at its self-serve Christmas tree recycling locations.

Christmas tree recycling is available at 11 Oakland County Parks from Dec. 26 through Jan. 13, 2013, seven days a week, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. All decorations must be removed from the tree.

The trees will be processed to make compost and wood chips that will be available to the public free of charge at Orion Oaks County Park in 2013.
