Repairs to closed portions of Quarton Road and Orchard Lake Road should not affect the Wednesday morning commute, according to a news release from the Road Commission for Oakland County.
Crews with the Oakland County Water Resources Commission announced late Tuesday afternoon that a portion of Quarton Road in Bloomfield Township would close at 7 p.m. Tuesday to repair a storm sewer. One lane between Woodward Avenue and Adams Road will be shut down while crews work through the night. The repairs should be complete by morning in time for rush hour, the news release stated.
The same is expected for the area around the intersection of Maple and Orchard Lake roads in West Bloomfield, the news release stated. Workers from DTE Energy expected to close the outside southbound lane of Orchard Lake just before Maple and in the Maple intersection, as well as the outside westbound lane of Maple just before Orchard Lake and in the Orchard Lake intersection.
The crews will make emergency repairs to a DTE line underneath the roadway.
