Yep, we're just barely a week removed , but if you are politically inclined and looking to make a difference in local politics there's just a day left to get on the Nov. 6 ballot. All candidates for nonpartisan seats, including the Board of Trustees need to file their nominating petitions or applicable fees by 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Local school board candidates, community college trustee candidates and district library board candidates who wish to seek office at the November general election will have to file an Affidavit of Identity and a nominating petition. (A $100.00 nonrefundable fee may be filed in lieu of a petition.)
Documents may be submitted to the Oakland County Clerk's Office, or Bloomfield Hills City Hall.
The deadline to withdrawal is 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.
