Moms Talk: How do you Fend Off Your Child's 'Summer Slide'

Without the school routine some students return in the fall further behind where they are now.

It's called the "summer slide," the carryover from summer that sets some students back when they return to school in the fall. The Bloomfield Township Public Library launched its summer reading programs this week as a way to help keep children and teens learning and excited about reading while classes are out.
