From There to Eternity Tour: The Love Story of George & Ellen Booth

Guests will explore recent discoveries and rarely seen treasures that provide new stories of the house and those who lived there, when metro-Detroit’s oldest manor home, Cranbrook House, once again opens its doors during its traditionally closed seasons. 

Experience the romance that blossomed between the Cranbrook founders and spanned more than sixty years: The recently restored wedding gown of Ellen Booth will be on display, along with her wedding shoes and a love letter given to Ellen by George Booth on their wedding day. 

Attendees should arrive at 10:45 a.m., tours will start promptly at 11 a.m. A box lunch will be served following the tour. Docents will be available during lunch to continue the tour’s discussion. Admission is $30 per person. Space is limited, paid reservations are required and can be made by calling 248 645.3149 or online at http://housegardens.cranbrook.edu. Cranbrook House is located at 380 Lone Pine Road, in Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303. 

*Please note: Select areas of Cranbrook House unfortunately do not offer barrier free access. Assistance for persons using wheelchairs or walkers is recommended. Guests should park at Christ Church Cranbrook, located across the street from Cranbrook House.
