Detroit Lions: Enemy Sidelines Report (Home Opener)

The enemy sidelines report after the Detroit Lions home opener against the St. Louis Rams.

Apparently Snoop Lion (Dogg) wasn't the only one that went to Jamaica during the off season. Rookie running back Bob Mar, I mean Daryl Richardson, showed up sporting some dreads most Rastafarians would have to skip years worth of showers to develop.

The crowd was pretty polite to the opposing players due to the fear of potentially losing the first must-win on the schedule. But they were highly amused when Rams offensive tackle, Rodger Saffold, got completely cussed out by his coach -- after allowing Corey Williams, the Lions defensive tackle, to force a fumble early in the fourth quarter.

Overall, the crowd was intense, the game was filled with drama, lots of trash talking and pushing, replacement refs that often resembled The Three Stooges, etc. But the best highlight of the Detroit Lions home opener occurred outside of the stadium, when a fellow tailgater wasn't able to fit his truck into the tight parking spot. See the attached video.

Now that's teamwork. 'Til the next time we head Forward Down The Field…GO LIONS!

Isn't this the way too many jurisdictions have gotten into financial trouble -- using bonds toRead More finance expenses rather than restricting them to long lived assets? Perhaps the pensions need to be reformed rather than "reforming" their financing. Are we taking on added pension obligations for personnel to support services we have "sold" to other jurisdictions?

I was wrong when I predicted that the School District would be asking for more money in two or threeRead More years - by two or three years...... No wonder I didn't get elected to the Board. With such miscalculations on my part, I realize that the majority of the voters had so much more insight than I had........lol Maybe I should learn a lesson here - borrow money to keep the "life-style" I have become used to. What genius!
