James Young, (boys basketball): James Young did it again. . On the Knights' final possession, he sealed the win with a steal. The win helped Troy keep pace with Ferndale for first place in the league. Young had six of his team’s seven points in overtime. The junior finished the game with 30 points and 18 rebounds. Vtech Fuchs, (swimming): At the, Vtech Fuchs was “Senior of the Meet” with first place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle (22.63) and the 100 yard backstroke. He also was part of the 200 yard freestyle relay team that finished in third place and the 400 yard freestyle team that finished in second.
Kelly Lunghamer, (skiing): Lunghamer won the Giant Slalom at the Southeastern Michigan Ski League (SEMSL) Championships on Monday at Alpine Valley. She edged out Mallory Slicker from Walled Lake Central with a time of 36.17. Lunghamer will compete in the state finals on Monday for the Mustangs.
Shannon Wilson, (girls basketball): With six seconds left in the game, in a 54-53 win over to give her team sole possession of the OAA Blue division title. Wilson finished the game with nine points, eight assists and five rebounds. She also led the Bloomfield Hills team with 19 points and eight steals in a 51-36 win over on Tuesday.
