Bloomfield Township Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Telegraph

A man was reportedly fixing his disabled vehicle when struck on the southbound lanes near Orchard Lake Road.

 

Crash investigators with the Bloomfield Township Police Department that are looking into a fatal train collision Saturday are also probing a fatal car crash on Telegraph Road.

Officers responded to the southbound lanes of Telegraph near Orchard Lake road for a two vehicle crash last night and confirmed one person died. Further details were not immediately available from the department.

According to Channel 7, a 2011 Ford Pickup Truck ran into a disabled 1992 Toyota Camry in the left lane. At the time of the crash, the owner of the Camry was underneath the vehicle attempting to assess repairs, wxyz.com reported.

The man died at the scene and a passenger was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
