Food Fight: Man Threatens to Shoot Uncle Over Food in Microwave

After a man and his nephew argued over food left in a microwave, the nephew allegedly held a gun on his uncle and threatened to shoot him, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said in a report.

A 28-year-old Pontiac man was taken into custody Sunday and charged with threatening to kill his uncle during an argument over food left in a microwave oven in a house the two have shared for the past few months.

The uncle, 61, told Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies during the course of the argument, the  nephew went into the living room, retrieved a handgun and pointed at him, saying he was going to shoot him, according to a report.

After the uncle ran into another room and called 911, the suspect fled on foot. Police didn’t immediately find him, but when he returned to the residence in the 600 block of Colorado Street, he was taken into custody on felonious assault charges and booked at the Oakland County Jail.
