Students Weren't Naked, But They Looked That Way, Police Say

Cranbrook students filming themselves in Oakland Township were wearing full body suits.

A group of students from the Academy of Art dressed in full body suits were performing a school project on Friday afternoon when a passerby called police to report "nude subjects."

Deputies from the responded to the call at 3:52 p.m. Friday in the 3000 block of Miller Road in Oakland Township.

"The students were in full body suits, which to the passerby made them appear to be in the nude," a sheriff's office report stated.

The students, who are adults seeking their master’s degree in fine arts and not associated with the K-12 program, were identified and deputies left the scene.

This story has been updated to clarify that the students involved were adults and part of a master's degree program at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
