Man Jailed After Drunken Target Practice in Bloomfield Township

Lee Bruner, 32, faces four counts for allegedly shooting dozens of rounds at a birdhouse off a backyard deck.

The man that authorities said fired multiple rounds at a birdhouse off the deck of Bloomfield Township home while highly intoxicated remained jailed on four criminal charges Wednesday morning, records show.

Lee Holman Bruner, 32, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a firearm while under the influence and reckless use of a firearm for the March 21 incident near North Pemberton. He faces a pretrial hearing next Tuesday before Oakland County Circuit Judge Leo Bowman.

Bruner waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday and was ordered to stand trial in circuit court, records show. A magistrate set bond at $100,000 at arraignment last week in 48th District Court. Court records indicate bond was posted by an unidentified person at Monday's hearing, however Oakland County Jail records still listed him in custody Wednesday morning.
