Parolee Arrested For Shoplifting at Bloomfield Township Costco

Kenneth Camboni, 48, absconded from his parole on a larceny charge in May, and was arrested last week in Bloomfield Township.

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department arrested a man with a lengthy criminal history for shoplifting at the Bloomfield Township Costco.

Kenneth Camboni, of Eastpoint, is charged with felony retail fraud and absconding his parole, court records show.

Police responded to a report of retail fraud in progress at the store, located at 2343 Telegraph Rd., on Dec. 30 and saw a man trying to pull away from Costco employees that tried to detain him outside, police reports said.

The initial investigation showed that Camboni tried to return a blender that was taken off the shelf and was never paid for, reports said. Costco employees said he did the same thing on three other occasions. The total value of loss was estimated at about $1,500.

Camboni remained at the Oakland County Jail this week on the absconder warrant.
