Pistol Found in Roadway; Larceny at St. George Church
A citizen turned in the gun found on Klingensmith Road and police determined it was stolen.
A motorist brought a pistol to the Bloomfield Township Police Department that he said he found on Klingensmith Road near Square Lake Road on Sept. 14, reports said. The man said he didn’t see the pistol in the roadway earlier during his morning commute and assumed it was there just a few hours.
Police said they determined the pistol was reported stolen from a vehicle in Pontiac on July 26. Detectives are working with Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to investigate who had the weapon.
Stolen Laptop
An employee at St. George Greek Orthodox Church reported that someone stole his laptop from the property on Sept. 19. The victim told police the laptop was missing during business. It was valued at $5,000, reports said. No suspect information was available, and the case was referred to detectives for further investigation.
