Bloomfield Township

Driver involved in injury crash suspected of drug use

A Warren man could face criminal charges stemming from an injury crash on Telegraph Road last week, according to Bloomfield Township Police Department reports. Officers arrested the 21-year-old man as he tried to leave the scene of the crash at Telegraph and Maple Roads shortly after 11:30 a.m., however, his vehicle was too damaged.

Reports said officers were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash, and that they observed signs of possible drug use by the driver upon arrival. The driver was arrested without incident, and was taken to a local for a blood draw. Charges are pending results of those tests, reports said.

Police said the occupants of the other vehicle were transported to Henry Ford Hospital, but their status was unknown Friday. The crash remains under investigation.

She said she called the office several hours later, but staff had not found or seen the device, valued at $300, reports said. Investigators are still interviewing office staff.
  • A resident in the 5000 block of Woodland Estates Drive reported on Feb. 5 that three fur coats were stolen from the property since January 2011, reports said. The coats are collectively valued at about $37,000. The investigation is ongoing.
