Repeat Offender Caught Shoplifting at Bloomfield Township K-Mart

The Bloomfield Township Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department arrested a Pontiac woman that tried to steal clothing from the local K-Mart store last week. 

Police responded to the store at about 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 for a retail fraud report by store security, and learned that a woman put on new clothing in the dressing room and then left the store without paying, reports said. Witnesses said the woman was last seen getting into a vehicle and heading north on Telegraph Road and police located the vehicle nearby. 

Officers conduct a traffic stop and arrested the woman without incident, The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Nathalie Sanders, 35, was charged with Retail Fraud 2nd degree by the Oakland County Prosecutors Office, and received a $20,000 bond at arraignment. Sanders has multiple prior convictions for retail fraud and she was remanded to the Oakland County Jail. She bonded out late last week and is scheduled to appear in court this week for a preliminary hearing, records show.
