Shoplifting Suspect Sought in Bloomfield Township

Initial efforts to identify this suspect in an October theft from Hollywood Market were unsuccessful and detectives are looking for new leads.

Detectives with the Bloomfield Township Police Department are asking for the public's help to try and identify a woman that tried to steal a large amount of toiletries and personal hygiene products from the Hollywood Market earlier this year.

The department recently released surveillance video images of the woman who entered the store at 1525 Opdyke Rd. on Oct. 8 and tried to leave with a number of personal hygiene products without paying, reports said. Store employees confronted the woman and retrieved the merchandise, but the woman ran away. She was last seen running across South Boulevard.

Other attempts to identify the individual were unsuccessful and investigators said they're looking for new leads.

Anyone with information about either incident is encouraged to call the department at 248-433-7752 in reference to case #13-15489.
