Three Men Arrested in Bloomfield Hills Home Invasions

The suspects entered multiple homes and one stole a vehicle before police arrested him in Lathrup Village.

Three men are in custody at the Oakland County Jail after multiple early-morning home invasion in Bloomfield Hills Wednesday, police said.

Officers with the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety responded to a home in the area of Trowbridge and Kensington roads at about 2:30 a.m. after the homeowner said someone was trying to force their way inside, Chief Dave Hendrickson said. The officers set up a perimeter and started a K-9 unit search to find the suspects. Shortly after the initial call police learned someone forced their way into two other nearby homes while residents slept inside.

The intruder stole several pieces of jewelry and fled the scene in a car stolen from one of the garages, reports said.

Officers relayed the stolen vehicle information to other local departments and police in Lathrup Village stopped it and arrested the driver without incident shortly after. Police also found stolen items in the vehicle and arrested two other men in the area of Squirrel and Watters roads that are believed to
be involved, Hendrickson said.

The men's names will be released pending arraignment at 48th District Court on home invasion and stolen vehicle charges.

Officers with the Bloomfield Township, Lathrup Village, Southfield and Troy police departments assisted during the incident.
