Woman Robbed at Gunpoint at Bloomfield Township Apartments

Bloomfield Township police said a masked man took a woman's purse at the Fox Hills Apartments

The Bloomfield Township Police Department is looking for a man that reportedly robbed a woman of her purse at gunpoint last Friday at the Fox Hills Apartment Complex.

Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fox Hills Drive shortly after 8 p.m. and encountered a woman who said she was robbed while unloading her vehicle in the parking lot, a police report said. The unidentified man demanded her purse and she complied before he ran off. She was not injured.

Reports said the man was last seen running north from the complex, and was wearing a black and grey down coat with either a hood or winter hat covering his head. The coat was also described as having two wide gray stripes down the front of each side.

The man was described as white with brown hair. He was about 5-feet-9 inches tall with a medium build. He also had a white plastic mask that covered his entire face, reports said.

The department's K-9 unit responded to the scene and tracked the robber to a subdivision just north of the apartments, but the track ended there. No further suspect information was available and the investigation is ongoing.
