Kerry Bentivolio is running as the sole Republican candidate on the ballot for the U.S. Congress to represent . The was moved into the new 11th following the 2010 U.S. Census. Bentivolio will be on the Aug. 7 primary, facing write-in candidate and the for the Republican spot in the November election. Democrats running are and Bill Roberts.

What made you decide to run?
I wanted to push the incumbent on issues related to government accountability, forced union contracting, and public debt. Now I have the opportunity to hammer those issues home.
What issues do you see affecting your district?
I wanted to push the incumbent on issues related to government accountability, forced union contracting, and public debt. Now I have the opportunity to hammer those issues home.
What national issues would you like to influence as a member of U.S. Congress?
I want to make sure that we provide a business environment that is friendly to entrepreneurs and innovators, who can create jobs. I want to tackle our public debt so we can provide a better life to our children and grandchildren. I want to provide additional accountability and transparency in government. I want to repeal ObamaCare. Finally, I want to provide better care for our veterans who have sacrificed so much.
What are your thoughts on your new district lines?
I think that all the people that I have met in the 11th Congressional District are wonderful folks. We have as much talent in this District as any. I wouldn’t trade this district for any in the USA.
