Romney Dominates Votes in Bloomfield Township, Bloomfield Hills

Here are results from Tuesday's primary election, as they are reported.

Bloomfield Township and Bloomfield Hills residents who voted in Tuesday's Republican presidential primary gave the win to Michigan native and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

In Bloomfield Township's 32 precincts, more than 70 percent of voters chose Romney over the other candidates. He had more than four times the number of votes as Rick Santorum, his closest competitor.  Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich trailed with fewer than 1,000 votes each.

In Bloomfield Hills' two precincts, the story was much the same: Romney garnered nearly 80 percent of the vote.
