President's Day, established in 1885 to honor our first President, George Washington, is now expanded to include all others to occupy the Oval Office. However, how the holiday is honored and celebrated is not universal.

Most banks in the area are also closed for service, and, as usual, all state and federal offices will be closed on Monday, including the U.S. Post Office on South Boulevard.
